Description
The Manager of Platform Engineering leads the way in TrueNAS hardware performance and qualification testing. They handle test plans, oversee their execution, and tackle any issues that pop up. Acting as the main contact for developers, product managers, customer support, sales engineers, and vendors, they’re the go-to person for all platform matters. Additionally, they steer the development and enhancement of automation frameworks for qualification testing, ensuring ongoing process and product improvements for the team and company.
Collaborates extensively with product management and other engineering teams to analyze and provides feedback on the performance and practical implications of design choices, spanning both hardware and software. The goal? Ensure great alignment of iX products with customer workflows and expectations.
Maintains a close eye on opportunities, product changes, market opportunities and innovations, and field issues. Ensures seamless communication by delivering timely updates to stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and production teams.
Leads with a focus on quality and product integrity, consistently striving to meet or exceed the organization’s and customers’ expectations. At iX, product excellence is the standard, both for the organization and our valued customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
- At least five years of related hardware engineering experience required, supervisory experience is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience with enterprise-grade PC server components and strong understanding of system assembly.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with computer server hardware components, interconnects, assembly, and configuration
