The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is seeking a talented front end developer to join its award-winning team of visual journalists. The candidate should be a good communicator, ready to collaborate with our team of designers, developers, reporters, photographers and editors to create compelling design for new digital initiatives, interactive web projects and data visualizations.

HTML5/CSS3 JavaScript/jQuery PHP/SQL Wordpress theme development Responsibilities

Create immersive, interactive and user-friendly experiences for major web projects that work across desktop, mobile and tablet devices Scrape, clean and analyze data for databases used in investigative reports Design and build data visualizations for interactive graphics Oversee projects from concept through launch across all media Report to design editor and assist team in all aspects of execution of projects Move comfortably among multiple projects with various audiences Participation in collaborative ideation/brainstorming is a must
