Background: We are offering an opportunity for a developer to be a part of a team revolutionizing how we create systemic change in our communities.

involveMINT.io empowers people to work in stewardship of the environment, community, and each other to build resilience and instill agency among residents. We do this through a webApp that hosts a complementary currency called “TimeCredits” that ChangeMakers serving on community-based projects earn for each hour of service. ChangeMakers mint TimeCredits by generating real-time content and data to track and benchmark progress in attaining Sustainable Development Goals. ChangeMakers then exchange TimeCredits with residents, small businesses, and organizations, increasing local commerce and building community wealth.

Requirements: Experience with Slack, Trello, and GitHub. Basic working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Angular 2+, Typescript, Ionic, NestJS, NgRx, Node.js, Google Cloud Platform, HTML, CSS, Git Knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle and/or Kanban methods. Ability to articulate abstract development concepts to clients and stakeholders in plain English.

Responsibilities: Provide quality assurance testing on all contractor-submitted code, following involveMINT’s QA guidelines. Create and run automated end-to-end or unit tests and catalogue and communicate failures. Coordinate virtually on a weekly basis (Tue 8pm) with involveMINT development team Oversee and double-check all involveMINT software deployments. Liaise virtually with external contractors at least once per week to determine the status of outstanding external work items in accordance with Agile methodology.

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to work on the second iteration of our web app. Said developer must believe in the overall mission of involveMINT and must be amenable to working on teams. Manager must have the ability to follow instruction, attend a weekly in-person meeting, and follow assigned, reasonable deadlines.
