Description

ShowClix, a fast-growing, venture-backed Ticketing Company, is looking for a Systems Administrator to help us manage, scale, and grow our SaaS ticketing platform.

Applicants should:

Be comfortable in remotely working with Linux based servers

Have a grasp concepts of virtualized computing environments (VMWare, OpenStack, Xen, VirtualBox, AWS, etc.)

Be comfortable with networking technologies (OSI 1 thru 4)

Be comfortable with least one scripting language (bash, Ruby, Perl, Python, etc.)

Have a passion for automating

Be process and procedure driven, meticulous in execution, and pay attention to detail

Be eager to learn and highly motivated to contribute

Get excited about a well written API

Love data and defending its honor

Applicants should have experience with:

Setting up passive and proactive monitoring systems (SNMP, Nagios, Munin,

Zabbix, etc.)

Managing and optimizing a “LAMP” environment

Automating deployment (Chef, Ansible, Capistrano, Puppet, etc.)

Managing multi-node MySQL cluster, optimizing it and working with its various engines

NoSQL experience (especially Redis, MongoDB, and Cassandra)

Setting up and managing fault-tolerant, high-availability systems
